Lady Dr. Tania Michael had her humble beginnings as the daughter of the late Apostle Wilbur L. Jones Sr. and Mother Sandra M. Jones. Being a preacher’s kid, she and her siblings were introduced to faith, serving others and leadership. Lady Tania became firm in her commitment to unwavering faith in God and his abilities, and firm to her commitment to family values and family building. She married her childhood sweetheart, Bishop Horace C. Michael, her husband of 40 years, which was born to their union 3 blessed children Horace, Sandra and Zoe and 11 grandchildren.
Lady Tania had a life altering experience of kidney failure in 1995 which ushered in 5 years of dialysis, a miraculous kidney transplant donated by her devoted husband which lasted 24 faith-filled years and the birth of their youngest daughter while Lady Tania was on dialysis. This experience birthed the dialysis ministry that spans over 20 years. Out of tribulation is born triumph! What a powerful display of God’s faithfulness!
In 2025 Lady Tania was faced with next level life experiences, where she was afflicted with breast cancer precipitating 2 tumultuous rounds of chemotherapy with 15 treatments each and extensive surgery. The miraculous kidney she received began failing after 24 years, and in 2025 she also started her 2nd dialysis experience. The pain, physical bombardment, and emotional and financial distress was overwhelming with 80 days of hospitalization in a four-month period, the loss of her beloved father, I.C.U. hospitalizations, complete hair loss, extreme weight loss, 5 surgeries in a 2-week period and constant medical appointments and overwhelming bills that tried to rattle Lady Michael and her family's lives.
Not only did Lady Michael's husband give her a kidney that lasted 24 years, but when she was diagnosed with HER2 breast cancer and needed weekly dialysis he became one of her primary caregivers along with support from all their children. This is incredible because Bishop Horace depicted love for his wife just like Christ depicted love for the church. Even though traditional family values and the Christian family lifestyle is being questioned and challenged, the Michael family has lived out love, sacrifice and care for one another amid incredible physical and emotional distress and hurdles. God’s pattern for families in today’s world is still prevalent and very much alive.
Physical suffering was a part of Lady Michael's journey that caused many tears. Every story is not neatly tied up with a bow, but many are laden with suffering, are incessant and don't end when you want them to. But one thing was constant and foolproof. It was her "STUBBORN FAITH" in her reliable, love filled, infallible God. What is stubborn faith? It is an unmovable relentless trust in God and everything He promises. It doesn't matter how difficult the circumstances or how doubt tries to infiltrate your heart. It is a take charge refusal to give up on divine ability and trust in God. God's commitment to forever walk with his children through life, death and after-life gives them God confidence, peace and strength through every storm and journey.
This God confidence has given Lady Michael the purpose driven assignment to bring hope and healing to countless others as God has given it to her. Lady Michael has written books and songs about her experiences as well as a dramatization to depict her powerful message of hope in artistic form. The songs and drama encouraged numerous dialysis patients where they were invited to her World Tour Concerts and Dramatizations free of charge in the New York and Charlotte N.C. areas. She has also traveled to Bermuda and Guyana to give patients hope through her story. In 2021 during the pandemic Lady Michael's story reached countries around the world through social media as it was translated into English, French and Spanish online through testimonials, music and hope.
The preparation for Lady Michael’s journey is based in social work, clinical chaplaincy and biblical and theological instruction and her personal walk with God. Her training in self-discovery, authenticity, and psychoanalytic skill building allows her to be able to identify with the challenges of others through great compassion, problem solving and listening. Her biblical and theological instruction equips her to strengthen others in their faith. Whether it’s working with the death and dying, the sick and afflicted, the sin sick or emotionally troubled, Lady Michael instills hope, help and the powerful example of God’s love and power in action.
